Reed & Barton, Francis I, Sterling Silverware. 41 pieces. 3 pieces shy of 8, 5-piece settings. 8 dinner forks, 7 salad forks, 8 ice tea spoons, 10 soup spoons, 6 place knives, and 2 serving spoons. Not monogramed. Needs 2 place knives and 1 salad fork to make the complete 8 sets. Good condition. Was my Mother's, given to her in 1954 as wedding gift. Small family now and no one wants to use it and care for it. Top of the line Francis I style would make a very nice formal table setting. For an additional price, I also have 8 settings of the 1950s Debutante Gray Syracuse china dishes sets with plates, bowls, serving bowls, cups and saucers, crystal glasses, dessert stem glasses and such in very good condition that was used with the sterling. Really makes a complete, beautiful formal dining layout. A wonderful wedding or Christmas gift. Total gross silverware weight is right at 4.8 pounds / 76.8 ounces. At 0.925% for non-silver metals gives ~71 gross ounces of silver, minus ~8 oz or less for the stainless knife blades gives ~63 oz net silver value weight. Knife handles are hollow, no fill no extra weight. Current average market prices in last few weeks gives a value of anywhere from $3500 to over $4000. Market projections are all over the place, but silver values will rise in the future. I've got a nice, fairly new felt-lined storage case to go with it. Sales price is firm at $3900.00. Silver was as high as $126/oz back in first of year. Market price is now averaging about $22/oz more than a year ago. Don't call to negotiate a low melt price. Good investment or wonderful gift.
