1976 454 truck long block. Still standard bore with minimal ridge so it looks to be a low-miles motor. It was installed in my square body pickup. I suspect the motor is a transplant out of a motorhome. It had two timing mark pointers. The standard one on the timing chain cover and one down below on the oil pan rail. That and the only letter on the VIN pad is the letter "S". It ran when I bought the truck but soon after it acted as though it had a blown head gasket (I thought). I don't see evidence of a blown head gasket, so who knows. It was just removed and opened up for inspection on 9-21-2026. It's a solid motor and a great start for a fresh rebuild.

Block casting: 361959, date code: C 9 76, suffix: T 0819 TRB with VIN code: "S", "HI PER PASS F4"
Head casting: 346236, date code: F 24 76, small oval "Peanut port"

Comes with valve covers, misc. bolts, rocker arms, pushrods, balancer and water pump (long style).
