Join the kitchen team as a Level 1 Cook, where you'll assist in preparing quality meals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with basic kitchen experience who is eager to learn and grow in a culinary setting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook basic menu items under the direction of kitchen supervisors or lead cooks
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines
• Set up and restock stations with ingredients and supplies
• Assist with prep work such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling meals
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
• Support cleaning tasks including dishwashing, wiping surfaces, and removing trash as needed
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols
• Communicate any product shortages, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors

Skills:

• Basic understanding of cooking methods, food prep, and kitchen safety
• Able to read and follow simple recipes or prep instructions
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in food presentation
• Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
• Dependable, punctual, and able to stay on task in a busy environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Requirements:

• Non-slip, closed-toe shoes required
• Hair must be tied back or covered with a hat or hairnet
• Maintain a clean uniform or outfit suitable for a food prep environment
• No jewelry, false nails, or strong scents permitted in food handling areas
• Must follow client policies regarding hygiene, safety, and kitchen conduct
