BEAT THE HEAT. Stay near Marquette, Michigan for 22-25 days, at almost NO COST while you’re here; close to Lake Superior. Looking for someone to “house sit” our 3 BR Home (2 BR used for storage), 2 full baths, house on about a 1 acre lot. It’s important that you move in, AT LEAST by 11 AM, Wed, 26 August, and stay AT LEAST until 17 to 20 September (we can coordinate your exact departure date and our return date to ensure they match). House is actually available sooner (later in week of 9 Aug), but it would initially be on a “house sharing” basis until morning/noon of Wed, 26 August; after that, you’d have the house to yourelf. House is in Michigan’s U.P., about 12 minutes from Marquette, MI. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood. Prefer a couple, but will consider a single person, if they’re the right person. Looking for, if possible, retired professional or retired skilled trades person. House has double-deck roof, 2X6 exterior walls, is very well insulated and so, stays cool. Even when we had “bad air” recently (smoke/air from Canada) the house air stayed clean inside. Note: house has full (finished) basement. Owner would reside in the basement, if you want to move in before 11 AM on Tues 26 Aug; after that, you’ll be alone in the house. If this works out, future (low cost) stays at this same house may be considered. Priority for owner is to have someone here, while my wife and I are both gone from the area, between 11 AM, 26 Aug and roughly 18 Sept. VERY Important: No smoking, no vaping, no pets. The only cost to you would be for ½ the utilities/i-net, and pay ½ of a cleaning fee before you depart in Sept. In any case, utilities and i-net cost very little. Basically, you’re staying here almost for free; that’s your payment for being here, house sitting. You can pay a small deposit to guarantee you’re coming here, and then, when you leave, you can receive it back, minus the small costs mentioned. Respond to this Craigslist ad, and provide some background on yourself, and your contact information. Additional Note: If you want to move in before 20 Aug, there are 3 dates/periods that we will need to discuss beforehand: ….Specifically, the dates of Thurs (afternoon and night of) 20 Aug, the late afternoon/night of Mon 24 Aug, and the day of Tuesday 25 Aug, until about 3 PM. These are 3 periods when the house will NOT be available. This will be explained if you (1.) wish to stay here before 20 Aug, and (2.) you agree to stay between 26 Aug through 17/18 Sept, If you really want to move in BEFORE 20 Aug 2026, make that clear to owner.
