The VL series is designed for a range of applications, including crafts, illustration, model work, stenciling, and touch-up projects. Manufacturer information identifies the VL as compatible with both water-based and solvent-based media when properly configured and maintained.

We tested it with a small compressor & we filled the jar with water (we do not have any paint) and the airbrush blew a mist of water and air. Used but in great overall cosmetic condition, but needs a light cleaning & polishing from prior loving use. No visible issues were reported or observed with the primary equipment.
