Apply today and work tomorrow. Miami Purveyors is seeking motivated meat packers and wrappers for our meat cutting room. We will train eager individuals, including candidates without prior meat industry experience.
About the Role
If you have worked as a cook, prep cook, or with kitchen equipment—especially knives used to cut products in preparation—you may be a strong candidate for this role. Team members package and learn to prepare steaks, chops, burgers, chicken, and other items using packaging machinery for delivery to Florida’s finest restaurants, clubs and hotels.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, inspect, weigh, pack, and label meat products.
• Use computers to properly weigh, label, and document products.
• Support daily stocking, cleaning, and product rotation.
• Learn packaging and meat trimming and cutting processes through hands-on training.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Knowledge of beef, veal, lamb, pork, and poultry is helpful, but motivated individuals eager to learn will be trained.
• Computer skills are needed for documents, labeling, and related programs.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Ability to lift 80 or more pounds and handle cases exceeding 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, handling, reaching, and twisting.
• Ability to tolerate cold temperatures for long periods of time.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 AM until the shift is complete.
• Ability to work overtime as needed; shifts may vary.

Hours, Pay, and Benefits
• Generally 8+ hours per day, 5 days per week.
