About Us: Tender Loving Care Veterinary Services is a well-established low-cost pet vaccination and preventative health clinic with 20+ community locations across Arizona. Career Opportunities: We are looking for energetic, talented, and compassionate individuals to be part of the TLC team. This is a part-time position that can lead to a full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a seasoned or inexperienced technician. Our clinic services are dedicated to vaccinations, preventative health care and minor ailments, making it an ideal setting for those experiencing “burnout” yet still looking to make a positive impact on community pet health. Great for an individual who is seeking a healthy work-life balance. You will visit one to three clinic locations daily and spend between one and a half to three hours per location. Each workday will consist of anywhere from 5 – 10 hours. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our clinic, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide exceptional care to our animal patients and support their owners.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations.
Perform laboratory tests, including bloodwork.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
Maintain accurate medical records.
Provide education and support to pet owners on topics such as nutrition, medication administration, and preventive care.
Assist with inventory management.
Requirements:
Have previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or working with animals is preferred.
Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Willing to work 20-30 hours weekly.
Able to learn how to use software management programs.
Willingness to learn new skills.
