Common areas include a living room with fireplace and wall TV screen; a separate dining room; a kitchen; and a shared office. You would get one corner or area of the office, but no desk is provided. Office and bedrooms are carpeted, rest of house is tile floor.
We have an extra fridge and a chest freezer in the garage, so there is plenty of room for everyone’s food.
None of us parks our cars in the garage. There is room for two cars in the driveway, and one of those two spaces is available. There is lots of street parking available. It’s a residential neighborhood, family-friendly, not crowded.
Large back yard has been turned into a garden growing veggies and herbs.
We are in Mesa, near the 60 freeway—off Southern between Lindsay and Val Vista.
We have a range of ages, from 32 to 79 (32, 68, 79). We are a non-alcohol non-nicotine-smoking household. We want non-nicotine-smoking roommates, (or smokers who smoke outside only); no hard drugs. Occasional alcohol drinkers OK, but not regular drinkers or alcoholics.
We are open-minded, flexible, and liberal-minded. We are kind and respectful and would like the same in any roommates. We have a clothing optional household and are LGBTQ friendly.
We make household decisions by consensus, and we negotiate quiet times and show-watching times to meet everyone’s needs. Anyone can call for a house meeting if there are any issues to discuss. We believe in bringing stuff up for open discussion instead of letting anything fester and brew resentment.
We have specific assigned chores which are pretty minimal, and can be negotiated.
We are on a lease which goes from mid-March to mid-March. You would be replacing the roommate who is moving out, on the lease. A security deposit is needed, which is one-time $906.
