This speaker has a 150 watt RMS amp with an 8" woofer. This beast can get you evicted by itself. I actually bought his biggest brother in the house for my home theater. The center is the most important speaker in your home theater. Everything you see in or near the center of your screen comes out the center. Dialogue, whispers, music, car crashes, explosions, gunfire, etc. etc.
This beast can handle it with ease and clarity. The built-in amp helps a lot. Your receiver doesn't have to do the heavy lifting so will remain clean without clipping at high volume. Dialogue is clear, explosions and gunshots have the power to sound realistic in a large room without breathing heavy.
