- Has common sense and can figure things out without needing constant direction.
- Good communication is very important.
- Must be willing and able to work independently.
- Must work at a reasonable, average industry pace. You don’t have to run around the job site, but I do expect a normal amount of work to be completed in a normal workday.
- Productivity is measured by completed, quality work, not simply by being busy aimlessly moving all day.
- Must pay attention and do the work correctly the first time. Having to repeatedly go back and redo your own work is not considered productivity.
- You should be able to plan ahead, stay organized, and use time efficiently instead of turning simple tasks into all-day projects.
- Quality matters, but being extremely slow is not acceptable. I am looking for a good balance of quality and reasonable speed.
- No drugs or alcohol tolerated on job sites.
- No attitude or unnecessary drama is tolerated.
- Honest, dependable, skilled and a good person.
- Reliable… shows up when expected and doesn’t constantly have excuses.
- You should have a basic tool setup: tool bag, hand tools, drill/impact, circular saw, paint and mud supply, small ladder, etc.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and working phone.
If I see that you are honest, dependable, efficient, and care about the quality of your work and the reputation of my business, I will make sure you are treated well in return\. I appreciate good people who take pride in their work, and I take care of the people who prove they are worth keeping around.
