Beautiful, highly sought-after Mid-Century Lane cedar chest manufactured on October 15, 1959. This piece belongs to Lane’s famous "Sweetheart" / Provincial collection, featuring its original factory-applied cream finish with a delicate pastel floral and ribbon stencil motif.

100% Original Finish: Unlike many vintage chests on the market, this has NOT been given a modern DIY paint job. It features the authentic, original factory finish.
Excellent Vintage Shape: The chest is in exceptional, almost pristine condition. There are only a couple of minor spots on the paint that naturally add to its vintage character and prove its age.
Pristine Interior: The inside features beautiful, immaculate raw cedar that smells amazing and is perfect for storing blankets, heirlooms, winter clothes, or a wedding dress.
••Authentic Branding: Features the original, deeply embossed "Aroma-Tite Construction" seal stamped directly into the interior cedar floor, alongside the clean "Lane Altavista, Virginia" hallmark under the lid.
This direct imprint is excellent because it can never peel, tarnish, or go missing over time—it is a permanent part of the craftsmanship.

The dangerous original vintage lock mechanism has been upgraded to Lane's official, child-safe "S" Series safety lock (Stamped S94). It WILL NOT automatically lock when slammed shut. The lid opens and closes freely, and only latches if you intentionally hold the button down. It is completely safe and legal for homes with children or pets! (Note: Does not include key).
