Saved this piece from the burn pile :D . It was in pieces but managed to have them all. Put all back together, glued clamped and now proud and strong.

It was stained very dark brown. Slowly meticulously hand sanded all of it, while leaving a lot of the character one would expect in such an old piece.

THIS was exactly the look I was after-to the tee. Been sealed up and sanded smooth and is ready for it's new home and many many years of beautiful eye candy.
