Technical Skills (Hard Skills) :
Diagnostics and repair: Ability to identify and resolve faults in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Reading blueprints, manuals, and diagrams: Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and dimensioned drawings.
Preventive and corrective maintenance: Planning and executing routines to prevent unplanned plant downtime.
Automation and control: Basic or advanced knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), variable frequency drives, and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
Technological tools: Use of multimeters, measuring equipment, drills, welding machines, and hand tools; CMMS software and office suites.
Mechanical and electrical knowledge: Understanding of motors, circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Process Skills:
Continuous improvement: Application of methodologies to optimize spare parts usage and cycle times, and to reduce waste in production areas.
Root cause analysis: Use of logic, common sense, and critical thinking to identify the source of problems and prevent their recurrence.
Safety standards: Strict adherence to industrial protocols—such as LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) systems—and occupational health and safety regulations.
Soft Skills:
Problem-solving: Ability to act quickly and effectively under pressure when faced with an unexpected malfunction.
Teamwork: Clear communication with production operators, colleagues from other shifts, and upper management.
Time management: Ability to prioritize urgent and scheduled tasks without disrupting operations.
Problem-solving: Thinking calmly to repair equipment under pressure.
Attention to detail: Inspecting every part to prevent serious damage.
Communication: Clearly explaining malfunctions to colleagues or supervisors.
Punctuality and attendance: Strong sense of commitment and responsibility regarding timely arrival for shifts.
Teamwork: Cooperating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Adaptability: Easily adjusting to shift/schedule changes and new challenges.
Education and Training:
Technical, technological, or engineering degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related fields.
Key knowledge: Industrial electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and reading blueprints or schematic diagrams.
Advanced systems: Familiarity with programmable systems (PLC), human-machine interfaces (HMI), and maintenance management software (CMMS).
