About the Position
Looking for motivated helpers or entry-level technicians interested in commercial low-voltage field work. Our work involves a mix of commercial service calls (troubleshooting, hardware swaps, quick repairs) and larger installation projects (commercial AV, network cabling, security camera networks, and rack setups).
No extensive low-voltage experience is required—if you are mechanically inclined, comfortable with basic power tools, and reliable, we will train you on the job.
This is a flexible, project- and service-based gig position. Perfect for someone looking for supplemental income, flexible field work, or an opportunity to learn a high-demand technical trade in commercial AV and IT infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing (With Guidance):
• Service Calls: Assisting with commercial hardware troubleshooting, swap-outs, cable testing, display/speaker fixes, and system maintenance.
• Project Work: Pulling and routing network cables (Cat6, Audio, Low Voltage), mounting commercial TVs, cameras, speakers, and setting up equipment racks.
• Field Work: Operating hand tools, working off ladders, organizing cabling, and maintaining clean, safe commercial job sites.
Requirements:
• Transportation (Required): You must have your own reliable personal transportation to travel independently to various commercial job sites and service calls around the DMV region.
• Reliability: Show up on time, communicate clearly, and maintain a professional presence on commercial client sites.
• Physical Capability: Comfortable on ladders, working overhead, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility: Available for on-call service gigs or scheduled project shifts (weekdays, with occasional evenings after hour/weekends depending on client access).
• Attitude: Eager to learn, takes direction well, and pays attention to detail.
