Millwork company is looking for an experienced Wood Finisher to join our growing custom millwork shop in Maspeth, Queens, NY.
Responsibilities:
Sand, stain, and prepare wood surfaces
Apply primers, paints, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and clear finishes
Mix stains and colors to match samples
Spray finish using professional spray equipment
Buff, polish, and inspect finished products for quality
Work on custom cabinetry, furniture, wall panels, doors, and architectural millwork
MUST MAINTAIN CLEAN AND ORGANIZED AREA INCLUDING EQUIPMENT CANNOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH
Requirements:
professional finishing experience
Experience with spray booths, HVLP, and air-assisted spray systems
Knowledge of wood species, stains, and finishing techniques
Ability to color match and produce high-end finishes
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
