This is a 1958 Fairlane 300, 2 DR. Post.
It has a V-8 Y block 292 cc.paired to a manual transmission (3 on the tree).
I got the car in Mississippi, practically in boxes. The value of these cars is in the front fenders top headlight braws being whole unrusted, the dog legs from the windshield to the door unrusted.
Yes. The car has rusted front floor pans, and the replacement pans will come with the car. It has original seats, dashboard and gauges intact. Everything works even the radio and horn, turn signals, etc. I upgraded the taillights to LED's and installed the original back up lamps from the skyliner. Rebuilt the top end of the motor, refurbished the radiator, new water pump, clutch and all bushing to the linkage. Also upgraded the front suspension and added disk brakes. 18 " Aluminum wheels. The car drives and stops, however because it sits for long periods, the first starts are a little unpredictable, due to the alcohol in gas. After few carb adjustments and couple of miles it runs smooth again.
Please, do not haggle without seeing and testing the car. I will ignore all hot offers.
I have been doing this longer than any scamers. So, you stay away. I will ignore all BS. I HAVE plenty of materials to finish the car. I lost interest because I invested $11,000 in a crate 5.0 coyote engine and 10 speed transmission that was stolen from my warehouse. I just decided to pass it to someone who understands the appeal of these particular model.
