The perfect head-start on a custom van build. 1987 Ford Econoline high-top is fully road-worthy, runs great!
This local project came out of Brownsville, Oregon, traded to Main Street Automotive, then bought by me.
The interior was stripped of its original '80s baby blue shag carpet, and the entire floor was completely sealed with undercoating. After that heavy duty flooring was installed, with wooden storage compartments built into the floor and under the "storage platform." Under the single mattress bed frame, are 3 pine storage shelves.
It has spent its life as a sleeping habitat and has been driven successfully between Eugene and Cottage Grove multiple times recently. (Note: There is no mattress included; it is legally set up and sold as a custom storage and utility platform).
Mechanical:
- Starts right up. After a good warm up, it is fully good to travel and road-worthy.
- The previous owner recently had the brakes, suspension and tires updated (newer condition). Single fuel tank setup.
- High top roof excellent interior headroom
- Oregon plates with a clear, signed title in hand and ready for transfer.
- Plates current, not displayed in pictures
To be done:
- Single Captains chair layout; needs a seat belt bolted into the cab before regular driving.
- driver and passenger door panel need to be built and installed
- Power windows are currently untested/not working, classic wing windows work fine
- all outside lights work
- Walls ready for insulation
- needs cosmetic TLC sun visors reattached, molding, etc.
- Windshield is sealed, but there is still a leak to track down.
- Includes a spare wheel rim (no rubber tire mounted)
- Other misc.
- sink and toilet available, but I did not install them
This is a running project with a solid body and great bones.
As-is, cash and trade. Offers welcome.
Trades considered: tractor/ front loader, recumbent trike, Honda 110, other options considered.
