At Locomotion Automatic Transmissions, we are looking for a passionate Automatic Transmission Builder / Specialist who strives for excellence to join our technical team.
If you are driven to master everything from traditional hydraulic transmissions to the most advanced technologies (CVT, DSG/DCT, and 6- to 10-speed gearboxes), this position is for you.
We are seeking a meticulous professional who understands that in an automatic transmission, the difference between success and failure lies in thousandths of an inch.
What you will do day-to-day:
- Comprehensive Diagnostics: Read and interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), perform line pressure tests, and analyze electronic/hydraulic failures.
- Precision Rebuilding: Teardown, ultrasonic cleaning, micrometer measurements, and assembly to OEM specifications.
- Valve Body Repair: Modification, reaming, and calibration using shift/correction kits (Sonnax/TransGo).
- Programming: Adaptive learning resets and TCU/TCM reflashing.

What we need from you:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience rebuilding automatic transmissions.
- Proficiency in hydraulic schematics, CAN Bus networks, and metrology.
- A clean, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic focused on keeping warranty returns under 2%.
