Link Custom Painting LLC is looking for an experienced, dependable Painter / Lead Painter to join our growing residential painting company.
This is a working Lead Painter position, not an entry-level painting position. The Crew Leader will work alongside the painting crew while also being responsible for leading the crew, communicating with customers and management, and making sure projects are completed properly and efficiently.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
This position requires ALL of the following:
• English. Spanish (preferred) communication skills
• Valid NJ driver's license
• Acceptable driving record to qualify to drive a company vehicle under our commercial auto insurance
• Professional painting experience
Perfect English is not required; however, you must be able to comfortably understand and have work-related conversations in English, answer customer questions, discuss projects with the owner, and communicate problems or concerns that arise on a job.
Driving company vehicle is an essential responsibility of this position, applicants must:
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have an acceptable driving record that meets our commercial auto insurance requirements
• Be eligible to operate a company vehicle
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Painter will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day operation of assigned painting projects, including:
• Reviewing the scope of work for each project
• Communicating daily instructions and expectations to the painting crew
• Assigning and coordinating work among crew members
• Working alongside the crew performing professional painting work
• Monitoring workmanship, quality, and productivity
• Making sure proper preparation and painting procedures are followed
• Making sure the scope of work is completed correctly
• Communicating with the company owner regarding project progress, questions, or problems
• Communicating professionally with homeowners and customers
• Keeping the job site clean, organized, and professional
• Helping ensure projects stay on schedule
• Making sure tools, materials, and company property are properly cared for
• Maintaining a professional and respectful work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
• Professional residential interior and exterior painting experience
• Previous Crew Leader, Lead Painter, Foreman, or supervisory experience
• Conversational/work-related English skills
• Strong knowledge of painting preparation, application, and finishing procedures
• Ability to read and follow a written scope of work
• Ability to organize and direct a crew
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Professional communication skills with customers
• Dependability and punctuality
• Pride in producing high-quality work
