The kit I bought was about $275.
I only used this about 5 times.
Positive Mulching Results: It surprised me how well it mulched up leaves as they pretty much disappeared when I passed over them.
Down side: You will have to clean your mow deck frequently.
Here's a link to a similar kit that contains what I have here except for the blades. I did not buy special mulching blades but just kept my original OEM blades.
1. Toro TimeCutter MAX Series
2. Toro Z Master 2000 / Commercial Entry Series
3. Titan MAX Series vs. Standard Titan
Compatibility notes from AI:
The 48-inch IronForged® deck used on the Toro Titan is shared across several models within Toro's line, though there are key structural and mounting differences when looking across distinct product series.
1. Toro Titan Family VariationsThe exact same 48-inch 10-gauge steel deck shell is used across the standard Toro Titan (such as model 75304 or 76401) and the Toro Titan MyRIDE variant (model 75314). Accessories like the 48-inch Recycler Mulch Kit (Part #136-7488) and the Bagging Enhancement Kit (Part #140-5121) bolt up directly across all 48-inch Titan frames.
2. Toro TimeCutter MAX SeriesToro uses the 48-inch IronForged® design architecture on select residential TimeCutter MAX mowers. The internal baffle geometry, blade layout, and welded Grade 50 steel bullnose bumper closely match the Titan. However, the TimeCutter series utilizes lighter-duty hanging linkages and smaller belt pulley configurations compared to the Titan's heavier commercial-style mounting setup.
3. Toro Z Master 2000 SeriesThe 48-inch deck shares its overall cutting chamber design and 10-gauge fabricated construction with entry-level commercial units like the Z Master 2000 series. While the cutting performance and shell shape are virtually identical, the Z Master version incorporates heavier cast-iron spindle housings and modified hanger brackets for commercial daily use.
Execution Verification Checklist
a. Confirm Serial & Model Number: Verify whether your mower is a standard Titan (e.g., 75304, 76401) or a Titan HD/MAX to ensure precise belt and spindle fitment.
b. Check Deck Shell Part Number: Locate the decal on the rear edge of the deck shell to match identical bare deck part numbers if replacing the shell itself.
c. Inspect Linkage Mounting Points: Before attempting a deck swap between a TimeCutter and a Titan, verify deck-lift pin diameters and frame hanger width alignments.
