I'm not one to ask for help, and putting this out there is not easy for me, but at this point, I don't know what else to do. I'm currently in a physically and mentally abusive relationship, and I desperately need to find a safe place to go.
My situation isn't the easiest when it comes to finding housing. My credit isn't great, and most of my work history is self-employment. I've had five back surgeries and a neck surgery, which makes working a traditional job physically difficult for me.
I'm self-employed as a small dog breeder. I want to be clear that I'm not a backyard breeder or a puppy mill. My dogs are my family, and their well-being is extremely important to me. They are all Shih Tzus, weigh under 10 pounds, and are very well-behaved. I cannot simply leave them behind, as they are not only my babies but also my source of income.
I'm looking for a landlord or property owner who would be willing to give me a chance and allow me to keep my dogs. If I'm able to continue my work, paying rent would not be an issue. In fact, I would be willing to pay several months in advance to show that I'm serious and dependable.
I know my circumstances may make finding a place more difficult, but I'm asking for someone who is willing to look beyond my credit score and employment history and see a person who is trying to get out of a bad situation and rebuild her life.
I don't need anything fancy. I just need a safe place where I can breathe, work, and live without fear, while keeping the little dogs who depend on me by my side.
