🏡 LOOKING FOR A ROOMMATE IN MIDDLE TN TEMPORARY OR LONG TERM🏡 (Dickson)

Hello everyone! My girlfriend and I are two 20-year-old women looking for a safe, comfortable, and respectful place to stay temporarily while we find jobs, get back on our feet financially, and work toward getting our own place.
We are currently living with our respective families, and unfortunately, both situations have become emotionally exhausting. We often find ourselves taking on household responsibilities without receiving much respect or consideration in return. Between the stress at home and the difficulty of getting out and becoming more independent, we feel it's time for us to take the next step toward building a more peaceful and stable life together.
We're not looking for anything inappropriate, romantic, or sexual in exchange for housing. We are simply looking for a genuine housing opportunity where everyone respects one another, communicates openly, and makes an effort to create a comfortable living environment. We are NOT looking for a third person in our relationship. We are a committed couple seeking housing, nothing more.
A little about us as potential roommates:
We are generally quiet, respectful, and keep to ourselves, but we're also friendly and open to building a genuine friendship with the person we live with. We'd love to have our own bedroom and personal space if possible, while still being comfortable hanging out together occasionally, sharing conversations, watching movies, or simply enjoying a peaceful home.
We believe good roommates should communicate honestly, respect each other's privacy, help keep shared spaces clean, and be considerate of everyone's needs. We would love to live somewhere that feels like a home rather than another stressful situation. We're happy to get along, lend a hand, and contribute positively to the household.
🧹 What we can offer in return:
While we're searching for employment and getting financially established, we're open to helping with reasonable household responsibilities in exchange for temporary housing. This could include light cleaning, dishes, tidying shared spaces, or other reasonable household chores that we mutually agree on.
We're willing to discuss expectations and work out an arrangement that feels fair to everyone. However, we want to be clear that we're only comfortable with appropriate household responsibilities. We're not offering anything sexual, intimate, or otherwise inappropriate in exchange for a place to stay.
Our goal is to find a temporary arrangement that gives us the opportunity to work, save money, become independent, and eventually move into a place of our own.
🐾 IMPORTANT: MUST BE PET-FRIENDLY!
I have four pets:
• A Chihuahua puppy
• A hedgehog
• A ferret
• A juvenile Chaco golden knee tarantula
My pets are important to me, so finding a genuinely pet-friendly home is a must. I do my best to spot-clean their areas daily and thoroughly clean their enclosures and living spaces weekly to keep everything fresh and sanitary. I also do my best to keep their spaces maintained so that odors and messes don't become an issue.
I would be happy to discuss their care, housing arrangements, and any reasonable household expectations beforehand. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable, including the animals!
📍 Location and housing preferences:
We would prefer somewhere in the Middle Tennessee area, ideally within approximately an hour to an hour and a half of our current area. We're flexible about discussing locations within that range.
We would prefer a female roommate or housing provider, but we are open to living with a male as well, provided that everyone understands and respects our boundaries. Regardless of gender, we want a strictly appropriate, respectful, and safe living arrangement. No sexual expectations, inappropriate requests, or strings attached.
We understand that opening your home to someone is a big decision, and we would never expect anyone to take us in without discussing the details and making sure we're all comfortable with the arrangement.
❤️ What matters most to us:
We're not looking for a perfect home or a perfect person. We're looking for a chance to breathe, grow, work toward our goals, and get away from the constant stress and drama we've been experiencing.
All we ask for is mutual respect, patience, thoughtfulness, kindness, and honest communication. We promise to offer those same things in return. We understand that everyone has their own responsibilities, boundaries, and challenges, and we want to be considerate of that.
