Hello,
We are a responsible, hardworking couple searching for a long‑term home in Vermont—ideally in or around Morrisville, but we are also open to Southern Vermont, including the Brattleboro area. For both of us, owning our own place is a lifelong dream. We are looking for a small home or mobile home with a little yard and a deck—somewhere we can garden, sit outside, and finally have our own sanctuary, our safe place.
Because we cannot qualify for a traditional mortgage at this time, we are actively seeking:
Owner financing
Rent‑to‑own or lease‑option
Creative/alternative arrangements
We are also open to renting if the property can be approved for our housing voucher.
A little about us:
I am 45, my partner is 39.
We both have steady income.
I am disabled; my partner is a skilled builder who can work anywhere and can do repairs and improvements himself.
We are quiet, respectful, and live a low‑key lifestyle.
We are drug‑ and alcohol‑free.
We pay our bills on time and take pride in being reliable.
We carry renters insurance with liability coverage.
We have excellent personal and rental references.
We recently financed a vehicle and are in good standing financially.
Our animals:
One service dog.
One cat, also documented as a service/companion animal.
Our dream is simple but deeply important to us: a small home or mobile home where we can settle long‑term, care for the property, and feel truly at peace. My partner’s building skills mean we can maintain and improve the home ourselves, which saves an owner time and money and ensures the property is well cared for.
We are good people who are tired of the uncertainty that comes with landlords and apartments—leases ending, rents rising, and constant changes. What we want more than anything is stability and the chance to build a life in a place we can truly call our own.
We are open to all reasonable options. If you have a property, know of an opportunity, or have ideas for a possible arrangement, we would be genuinely grateful to hear from you.
Thank you for taking the time to read our post.
