This is probably a long shot, but worth a try. My (US Army vet) husband and I (along with our 17 year old and two cats) were evicted from our home of 11 1/2 years due to the new apartment management company that took over last year taking an instant dislike to us, and then us hitting hard financial times. So now we are desperately seeking housing.
We have income. We can pay about $1600 a month, and would prefer a two bedroom. No illegal drug use, and we are non-drinkers, non-smokers (though i do vape), pretty clean, rarely late on rent, good track record until this happened.
Husband and I are both mid-40s/early 50s, and just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were very well-liked in our apartment complex, and were known as great neighbors who helped build a little community. We just need a little hand-up.
Looking to stay in the Lakewood/Tacoma/Steilacoom area so our 17 year old can finish her senior year at a school we have come to love.
We both have tons of character references, plus the previous 11+ years in our former home. I hope there's someone out there who can help us.
