I recently turned 55 and have been a lifelong renter. I'm looking for a NICE well maintained apartment that caters to those 55 or older. But I don't want or need to have the full service arrangement that causes the monthly rent to be astronomical. Just a regular apartment with typical amenities that doesn't have the younger and typically louder tenants. My budget for either a modest 2 bedroom or larger one bedroom is $2,000-$2,300 which I would think would be doable.
