‘05 Squier Master Series Thinline Tele HH - $350 (Berthoud)

These are rare enough than many Squier fans have never heard of them, let alone having had the chance to purchase one.
This example is a definite “player grade” guitar as it is in previously Honky Tonked condition. As such it is priced accordingly. Master Series Squier guitars often sell for $500 ++
The guitar does have some bumps and bruises but I don’t think it has seen a lot of play time based on the condition of the frets, which is excellent.
On the back edge of the bass side upper bout there is a scrape that exposes the wood, although it’s not a very large scrape. There is also a small ding on top of the headstock that exposes the wood a little tiny bit. On the back of maple set neck there is a small area of missing finish. These issues are viewable in the photos. There are some dings, swirls and superficial scratches around the body that were difficult to photograph.
Nothing too hideous it’s just not pristine
You do not typically see a set neck Squier. The Master series was one of the best series produced by Squier, selling for $599 new over 20 years ago.
The specs say this is an alder bodied guitar, but looking into the F-hole, it looks like mahogany to me possibly with an Alder cap.
Also unique to this guitar is that it’s laid out more like a Les Paul with a 24.75” scale neck, 12” radius, dual humbuckers with 1 volume and 1 tone control per pickup and a 3-way switch
This is a great chance to grab a Master Series at a very affordable price as I’m asking $350 obo.
