We are excited to offer Clayton's Blue Drift for stud services in 2027! With his exceptional bloodlines, versatile performance background, and calm, loving temperament, he’s an ideal match for a variety of mares, whether you're breeding for athleticism, trainability, or versatility.
About Clayton's Blue Drift
A 2008 AQHA Grullo stallion, Clayton's Blue Drift is out of the renowned Claytons Roanwood and by Romeo Blue. His striking color, complemented by beautiful primitive markings, is only part of what makes him stand out. With a calm demeanor and a laid-back nature, he’s easy to handle both on the ground and in the saddle. Clayton’s Blue Drift has been used extensively in ranch work, trails, and Western Dressage. He’s also well-suited for family environments and has been safely ridden by children ages 2-10, making him a reliable mount for riders of all experience levels. When asked, he also demonstrates speed and power, proving he’s as capable as he is gentle.
Performance and Temperament
Clayton’s versatility shines in everything he does. Whether it's quiet trail rides, working cattle, or performing in the arena, he delivers with ease. Clayton has been used to pull deer out of the woods, trail rides through water without issue, and is great with everything from beginner to advanced riders.
Progeny and Legacy
Clayton’s bloodlines trace back to two of the most revered lines in the industry: Joe Hancock and Blue Valentine. These lines are known for producing offspring with strong work ethics, exceptional stamina, and impressive athleticism. This is Clayton's second year standing at stud, and he has four foals due this year that we are eagerly anticipating. His progeny will carry forward these traits, making him a solid choice for mare owners seeking to produce versatile, hardworking foals.
Clayton now has 4 solid foals on the ground, 3 are yearlings who are showing excellent promise and we can't wait ro see what they all do. Photos of all available.
