I have 7 shetland sheep-- they can be sold in mini herds of 3 or 4 each-- 1 ram, 2 ewes, 1 wether for $600 or 1 ram, 2 ewes for $500 or sold all together for $900-- that's 2 unrelated rams, 2 unrelated ewes, 2 of their daughters, and then 1 wether. The 2 older ewes are registered and although not registered I have papers on the white ram (just never sent it in) Won't sell them individually-- either all or in mini herds. These guys have been easy keepers-- I don't feed grain-- they will need to be sheared 1x a year Apr/March time frame (I can give you the name of my shearer)-- they are seasonal breeders so I keep the males in with the herd at all times-- babies are born in the spring. I got them to use their fiber but haven't done any fiber processing and have decided to go a different route. Very healthy-- feet are done when sheared so only 1x a year and the older ones have not needed to be wormed in 4 years.
