Are you experiencing suicidal ideations (e.g., have thoughts of wishing you were dead or thoughts of wanting to kill yourself) and interested in decreasing your alcohol intake? Then consider joining our alcohol/ideation treatment study being conducted by researchers at the University of Kentucky. We are looking for people who have recent passive or active suicidal ideation, regularly use alcohol, and are interested in decreasing their drinking.
Eligible participants for this study will need to:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Use alcohol regularly
• Not already be in treatment for alcohol use
• Have no recent substance use other than alcohol, nicotine, or marijuana
• Have no psychiatric diagnoses other than depression or anxiety
• Have recent active/passive ideation
• Be a United States citizen or resident
This study requires one scheduled virtual session (e.g., Zoom), followed by periodic assessments completed on your own time. You may also get some form of remotely delivered alcohol treatment or therapy.
Your time and participation will be compensated, with up to a total compensation of $385 based on participation. Your participation in this study is confidential.
