I bought this machine about ten years ago to clear 10 acres and turn it into a home site, and it did every bit of that work. Cleared the trees. Cut in creeks, dug footings, put in the driveway, and resloped the property. The project is finished and I've got nothing left for it to do, so it's time for it to go to work for somebody else.
The undercarriage is in great shape and the machine has been stored under cover the whole time I've owned it. The cab is enclosed with air conditioning, and the A/C worked very well until the electric motors for the condenser fans quit. I troubleshot it and know what's wrong, but I never replaced the fan motors because by then I was done with the machine. That's the one thing I'd tell a buyer to plan on.
Specs:
955L track loader, built 1979, made in the USA
Cat 3304 turbocharged diesel, roughly 130 hp
Power shift transmission
Operating weight around 36,000 lbs
D6-type undercarriage components (heavier link pitch and pads than the earlier 85J series)
I don't have a way to move it, so hauling and loading are on the buyer. Plan your trailer for the weight above.
Come look at it, run it, ask me anything. Happy to answer questions.
