About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Industrial Superintendent to lead operations in our high-performance welding and fabrication facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment and knows how to keep projects moving, teams motivated, and quality at its peak.
What You’ll Do
🛠️ Oversee Daily Shop Operations: Manage welding, cutting, forming, and assembly activities to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
👷 Lead Skilled Tradespeople: Supervise welders, fabricators, fitters, and support staff. Provide mentorship, resolve issues, and foster a culture of accountability and pride in craftsmanship.
📋 Coordinate Projects: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to align shop output with project specs, timelines, and quality standards.
🔍 Ensure Quality & Compliance: Enforce welding codes (AWS, ASME, etc.), inspect work for accuracy, and maintain rigorous safety and quality control protocols.
📦 Manage Materials & Workflow: Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and job scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
📈 Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks, implement lean practices, and champion a culture of operational excellence.
What You Bring
✅ 3+ years of supervisory experience in a welding/fabrication environment
✅ Deep knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick), fabrication techniques, and blueprint reading
✅ Familiarity with AWS/ASME codes and industrial safety standards
✅ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
✅ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic shop setting
✅ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade school preferred
