This position earns a competitive wage of $19-$22/hour. While primarily known as a breakfast/brunch restaurant, we recently expanded our hours and menu to include dinner service, and now have shifts available from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
*Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff and use various cooking methods to prepare orders to specified recipes and standards.
*Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
*Perform portion control and minimize waste.
*Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
*Clean up station and label, date, and cover leftover food.
*Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products.
*Perform additional tasks as assigned by the chef.
*Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards.
*Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications:
*1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.
*Understanding of cooking methods, procedures, and knife handling skills.
*Ability to read and follow cooking directions.
*Able to multi-task and work on more than one order at a time.
*Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
*Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
*Able to remain on their feet for several hours straight.
*Able to carry at least 35 pounds easily.
