This machine is still under power and in use.
Date of manufacture ~1960-1965
Required power source: 220V, three phase.
No vibration on the spindle. Smooth power feed on both X and Y axes.
Chuck size: 8" x 24" permanent magnet Walker chuck.
Chuck has been resurfaced recently and tested on Saturday, July 1, 2026. Total Indicator Reading (TIR) over entire chuck surface: 0.0000"-0.0005".
All of the following are in good working condition:
* Spindle
* Cross feed
* Longitudinal feed
* Z-axis power feed (for rapid positioning)
* Coolant system
For surface finish reference, see pictures of the sample block of 1018 CRS, ground on July 1, 2026.
An assortment of additional grinding wheels included. These wheels provide a range hardness ratings and grit sizes.
