Looking for a roommate to be roomies with me in May 2026 (laurel, columbia, elli (Laurel)

I am currently living on my own in a loft apartment in laurel but after May I need to find a reliable, responsible, roommate who would want to get a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom together or even rent a town house. I can afford anywhere between $1000-$1300 a month splitting rent. I’m currently paying $2300 in rent. We can split utilities and decide if we want to get cable or just stream. Must have a job with proof of income.
The complex I live in has two bedrooms available and two bedroom lofts with attachment garages and storage units to rent on site, it’s cheaper than a regular storage unit. I’m open to looking for other options these next few months with a potential candidate who is looking for a roommate in May. I am open to other places to live outside of Laurel, like Columbia, Elliott city, Silver spring, Wheaton.
I am usually to myself and very quiet, I do have a lot of stuff but I will have to put some stuff up in storage if need be. I am a 37 year old male. I went to Penn state for college, I work with a financial industry currently and I’m an entrepreneur on the side as well. I am from New Jersey but I have been living in Maryland for the last 14 years. I havent done the roommate thing in over 6 years but this economy has been really tough for me living on my own so this why i am looking for a reliable roommate who maybe going through similar situation with the economy. I am very clean and I have no pets.
I am open to meeting up and sitting down to ask questions and have like an interview meet up for the both us if someone was interested and willing to want to be roommates with me in May. I can show my job security information to prove I’m working and ask each all the questions we need to ask each other to see if it’s going to be a good fit.
This is a long shot for me doing this and I pray everything works out.
