About this item
Vintage large chalkware (plaster) eagle sculpture, approximately 19.5" tall, signed “HUGHES” and dated 1975 on the base. Detailed sculptural piece showing the eagle with wings raised, perched on a rustic log-and-branch base. Features highly textured feather detailing throughout the body, wings, and tail, along with a well-defined head and beak.
Condition shows expected age and handling: some paint wear and minor surface scuffs, particularly on high points and the base, but no major cracks or structural damage noted.
Overall solid with good detail remaining. These large chalkware eagles were popular decorative pieces in the 1970s.
