We are seeking a dependable Copier / Printer Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair office copiers, printers, and multifunction devices at customer locations. The ideal candidate has hands-on troubleshooting skills, basic IT networking knowledge, and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
This role includes connecting equipment to customer networks and setting up printing and scanning functions.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain copiers, printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, print-quality, and paper-feeding issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and replace parts and consumables as needed.
Connect devices to wired or wireless networks and configure IP addresses and network settings.
Install and configure print drivers on customer computers.
Set up and troubleshoot scan-to-email and scan-to-folder functions.
Resolve basic connectivity, printing, and scanning issues, coordinating with the customer’s IT team when needed.
Train customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
Document service calls, repairs, parts used, and follow-up needs.
Manage assigned service calls and communicate clearly with customers and the office.
Qualifications
Experience servicing copiers, printers, or multifunction devices.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, and network connectivity.
Experience installing printers and drivers on Windows computers; Mac experience is a plus.
Familiarity with scan-to-email settings and shared-folder permissions.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Professional communication skills and a commitment to customer service.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations.
Ability to safely move equipment and handle parts, with assistance when needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta, Sharp, Xerox, Kyocera, Toshiba, HP, or similar equipment.
Manufacturer training or certifications.
Experience in field service or managed print services.
