Included: 101 Opera Librettos (see photos for a list of which operas) and a good mixture of stand-alone French, Italian and German opera librettos, most of which are close to 100 years old (certainly at least 50 years old).
All of them are in fair to good condition. The cover has come off of Carmen (and Les Contes d’Hoffman is a bit rough looking, too), but everything else is intact. Expect some yellowing and general wear due to age/use, but everything is otherwise perfectly readable and functional. The first few pages of 101 Librettos are a little creased, but the remaining 1,400-plus pages are fine. (I weighed 101 Librettos out of curiosity, and it’s about 7 lbs.)
Most of the operas include the original language plus English. Some of the booklets include fragments of the score, but most are libretto only. Tannhauser is English only. Some are former library copies. Some have light writing (a few words in pencil on the cover, for instance). Les Femme Savantes is a Moliere play (in French only); the book seems designed for learners of French, as it includes vocabulary explanations in the margins.
