Putting this girl up for sale only because unfortunately our bull is no longer able to breed. He's my baby and now that we won't have him I wanna keep his babies ... so I'm changing up our herd and making room to keep his heifer calves from this year so unfortunately I need to sell her so I have room to keep her calf 💚
She is 5 years old (born spring of 2021) and has had two calves. She wasn't bred for the first time until she was 3 that's why she is a calf short for her age and has been an easy calver with both babies. She's a Highlander × Angus cross and has been an amazing mama!
🥛 She has been milked both by hand and with a machine and has really nice, high-cream-content milk. I've never separated her calf from her to milk, so I can't say what her full production would be if she were used strictly as a milk cow.
She's not the walk-up-and-pet-me type, but she is VERY food motivated 😂 and you can pet and handle her while she's eating. She has also always been good about us handling and working with her calves the day they are born and doesn't get worked up about it.
She was potentially exposed to our Black Angus bull (before he was injured and unable to breed) at the end of June. He got out and spent about 24 hours chasing her around before we got them separated, so there is definitely a possibility she is bred, but we are not guaranteeing her as bred.
