Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Office Assistant role based in Lanham, MD. The Office Assistant will support daily office operations, including answering and routing phone calls, and managing incoming and outgoing mail. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing documents, maintaining physical and electronic filing systems, and assisting with scheduling meetings and appointments. The role also involves using office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems, as well as entering and updating data in basic spreadsheets or software. The Office Assistant will collaborate with team members to ensure accurate recordkeeping, timely communication, and smooth coordination of administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with administrative assistance and general clerical skills, including filing, data entry, and document preparation
Ability to operate common office equipment, such as printers, copiers, scanners, and multi-line telephones
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendar tools)
Ability to work on-site, maintain punctuality, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and management
High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in an office or construction-related environment is a plus
