Experienced sax guy looking to contribute to a gigging band! (Langley)

Hello! I play tenor sax for Robbie Dee Elvis (Graceland Station Backing Band), and I really enjoy my role with them. That said, I'm now looking for the opportunity to put my blues, jazz, and/or rock-blues skills and experience to work on behalf of a gigging band with that sort of musical focus, preferably on Whidbey Island or in Snohomish County. I've served as lead alto, then lead tenor sax for the SeaNotes Big (Swing) Band in Oak Harbor, and more recently as sideman for an Everett-based blues/soul/funk, vocals-focused group. A member of and frequent contributor to the Washington State Blues Society's Bluesletter (see my ad in this month's issue), I know my way around the blues and blues-rock genres. I've sat in with blues legend Keith Scott, the Whatcom County-based JP Falcon Band, and I've performed on stage with Snohomish County's Billy Appleton. Whether you're looking for simple harmonic riffs, appropriate vocal support, and/or innovative, fitting solos, I can add some big-time tenor sax soul to your sound!
