Beautiful antique flat-top steamer/travel trunk believed to date to the early 1900s. This is a genuine old piece showing decades of natural wear and patina, not a modern reproduction.
Features original-style canvas covering, heavy wood reinforcement slats, riveted metal edging and corner protectors, metal latches and center lock hardware, and a wonderfully aged leather carrying handle. Interior is open and offers plenty of storage.
The trunk shows considerable age-related wear, including surface rust, scuffs, worn canvas/wood and deterioration to the leather handle, all clearly shown in the photos. I have intentionally left it in its aged condition, rather than refinishing it.
