Muncie 318. The Muncie 318 is a three-speed manual transmission that was used in Chevy and other GM cars from 1953 to 1967. It is a rear-wheel drive transmission without overdrive. It's a good transmission: shifts easily, parts are cheap, easy to take apart and put together. Came on both compact and full size Chevys, both 6 Cyl and V8. Hard to find. Clean, painted. $200.

Good for Rat Rod, Resto, shop class that needs an easy manual transmission to learn on.
