Description
This is a used 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2011) 2.2 GHz Intel i7 in good clean condition
Caveat! This is a vintage Mac running an old OS on the systems 512MB graphics processor. It currently functions normally but it's 15 years old and being sold as-is
Many 2011 MacBook Pro's suffered from a Dual Graphics Processor video issue. So many that there was an Apple authorized MacBook Pro Repair Extension Program for Video Issues to provide out-of-warranty repair that has since expired
This MBP had the discrete GPU repair but the repaired GPU started having the same issues as the original recently ...until successfully implementing programming that forces the “Integrated GPU only” into operation, and does not allow the “Discrete GPU” to function. The “Discrete GPU” is what failed. The programming also turns off the GPU automatic switching capability
Most programs run fine but if you need to run high demand graphics apps you may experience crashes. There are a number of work arounds to correct video issues available by searching online. If you are a vintage Mac user you are probably familiar with them
