61.5 L Displacement
* Here's the displacement Specs and info for This "Blade Racer."
A Rider at 180 lbs, a 61.5L board puts you at a volume-to-weight ratio of about 0.75.By modern standards, this is a high-performance setup for your size.
You have plenty of float for easy paddling, but the board isn't so "corky" that it feels stiff.
How it fits your weight.
The Float: You are sitting well above the "neutral buoyancy" line. The board will support your weight easily while waiting for a set.
The "Sweet Spot": For an intermediate surfer at 180 lbs, a longboard usually ranges from 65L to 80L.
Since you're at 61L, your board is leaner and faster than a typical "beginner" longboard.
Performance: Because it's a bit "under-volumed" compared to modern logs, it will actually handle larger, punchier surf better.
It won't get chatted out by the wind or chop as easily.
