$175-$240 per route
We are seeking an independent transportation contractor to transfer ~100 fresh, subscription meal packages from a semi-truck transfer operation to final mile delivery partners in Lafayette, IN. Each assignment starts with a client designated window for transfer from semi truck, then a separation of regional customer bags and van load, transit to designated final mile handoff, and offload to final mile drivers. Additional opportunities for collection and weekly recyclable transfer to semi-trucks available for increased rates.
Contracted Services
-Pick up prepared meals from a designated pickup location
-Follow client’s transfer guidelines and ensure correct packages arrive safely and on time to handoff location
-Collect clean, canvas delivery bags, and ice packs from final mile drivers when available
-Return collected materials to the designated hub or centralized drop-off location on the next applicable contracted route
-Independently manage your route, vehicle, timing, and delivery responsibilities
Service Assignment & Details
-Service Days: Monday
-Pickup Time: est 11:00AM EST, with truck route monitoring available(specific pickup requirements are provided with each available route)
-Delivery Window: est 12:00PM - 1:00PM EST
-Estimated Assignment Duration: 2.5-3hrs
-Consistent weekly route availability.
-Route details are provided in advance for available contracted routes
Contractor Requirements
-Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
-Reliable vehicle capable of carrying food bags and supplies
-Clean, commercially presentable vehicle suitable for food transportation
-Ability to safely transport loads up to approximately 30 lbs
-Ability to independently provide the contracted transportation and delivery services
-Ability to meet the stated pickup and delivery service requirements
-Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and designated route contacts
-Independent contractor/business status and applicable documentation, where required
-Applicable vehicle insurance and documentation required for the contracted transportation services
