Perfect second trailer if you already tow a camper — if your truck's set up with a brake controller and 2-5/16" ball for your RV, this hooks up and works with the gear you already have. Haul the side-by-side, firewood, dump runs, all the stuff you don't want in the camper.
Work I've done on it:
• Upgraded to 14" wheels and tires (stock was 13")
• Full electric brake setup — brake hubs, breakaway battery, and control box, all installed and working
• New leaf springs and shackles
• Gussets added, frame reinforced — stronger than it came from the factory
• Deck boards added in the center section, so it has a solid floor (no dropping small wheels or losing stuff through the middle)
• Spare wheel holder added
• Brake lights and turn signals replaced with LEDs
Tows and tracks straight — better than it did stock, thanks to the new springs, shackles, and 14" wheels.
Specs: 2,720 lb GVWR, 3,500 lb axle, 2-5/16" coupler (see below), swivel tongue jack, recessed LED lights, 7-round plug (adapts easily to 4-flat with a cheap adapter).
About the brakes — it has a full electric brake setup and it works amazing if your truck has a brake controller. If you don't want the brake setup, that's fine too: I'll sell it converted to a standard 2" ball coupler, no breakaway battery, with a 4-flat adapter included. Your call — just tell me which way you want it before you come get it.
Full disclosure, because I'd want to know: as it sits it weighs about 920 lbs empty (the deck boards added weight over stock), so usable payload is roughly 1,800-2100 lbs.
It's not showroom pretty, it's a solid working trailer that's been upgraded throughout — nothing on it was worn out, I just wanted it updated and stronger. Selling because I need something bigger. Venmo is fine.
