TEMPORARY EVENT ASSISTANT – 3-DAY CONFERENCE GIG

We are looking for a professional, dependable, and personable Temporary Event Assistant to assist our client during a professional annual meeting at the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, CA.
This is a short-term, 3-day event assignment and is a great opportunity for someone with experience in hospitality, conferences, registration, customer service, administrative support, trade shows, or event staffing.

SCHEDULE
Sunday, October 4: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Monday, October 5: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Tuesday, October 6: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Approximately 18.5 hours total.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Event Assistant will provide general on-site support to the client's meeting team. Duties may include:
• Greeting and assisting conference attendees
• Registration/check-in assistance
• Distributing name badges, meeting materials, and other event items
• Directing attendees to meeting rooms and event areas
• Assisting with setup and breakdown of registration/event areas
• Helping keep event areas organized
• Providing general customer service and answering basic attendee questions
• Assisting the meeting team with other reasonable event-related tasks as needed

• Comfortable standing and walking throughout portions of the assignment
• Previous event, hotel, conference, registration, hospitality, administrative, or customer-service experience is a plus

This is a professional business meeting, so a polished appearance and excellent customer-service attitude are important.
PAY
$21.00 per hour
This is a temporary staffing assignment. Selected candidates will be employed through our staffing company for the duration of the assignment.
