Doom/Stoner/Sludge/Death Metal Guitarist & Bassist Seeking Drummer (La Crosse)

Looking to connect with local musicians who are into doom metal, stoner rock, sludge, heavy psych, and generally slow, filthy, riff-heavy shit:
Pentagram, Earthride, Church of Misery, Black Sabbath, Fu Manchu, Black Label Society, Kyuss/QOTSA, Cathedral, Crowbar, Electric Wizard, Goatsnake, Rhino, Melvins, Monster Magnet, Orange Goblin, Roachpowder, Spirit Caravan, The Stooges, Type O Negative, Acid Witch, Witchfinder General, and plenty of other heavy stuff
Rhythm guitarist can handle some basic leads; self-taught and definitely not a technical shredder. Bassist has played in live local bands.
What we're looking for:
* A drummer who genuinely digs this kind of music
* Mostly interested in chemistry and musical taste
* Start with covers and see where it goes.
* No pressure to immediately become a “serious band”
The goal: Get together, crank up some amps, learn/jam a handful of covers until we’re tighter than a gnat’s ass, and have some fun. If we click and things start sounding good, I’d definitely be interested in writing some originals.
I’m equipped with guitars/amps and the usual guitar-related gear. Happy to discuss what everyone has for equipment and what we’d need for a practice setup.
Availability: 2-3 days per week, after 5pm ,kinda random depending on guitarist's work schedule.
