We're looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Kitchen Manager and Prep Chef to support our cafés and event catering. You'll play an essential role in preparing fresh ingredients, maintaining an efficient kitchen, and ensuring our food is consistently prepared to a high standard. You'll work closely with our operations and events team to support daily café operations as well as off-site and on-site events.
Your Responsibilities
Food Preparation
Prepare fresh ingredients including vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, sauces, dressings, and baked goods according to recipes and kitchen standards.
Assist with the preparation and assembly of breakfast, lunch, and catering items.
Portion, label, and store food correctly following food safety guidelines.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
Follow HACCP and food safety regulations.
Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle.
Receive deliveries, check quality and quantities, and store products correctly.
Manage stock levels
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
Event Support
Prepare food for catering and special events.
Assist with packing, loading, and organizing catering equipment and food.
Support event setup and breakdown when required.
Ensure food presentation meets our quality standards at every event.
Teamwork
Work closely with café and events teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow recipes, procedures, and kitchen standards consistently.
Contribute to a positive, supportive, and efficient working environment.
Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed.
Your Profile
Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred.
Passion for fresh food and high-quality ingredients.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and well organized.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Team player with a positive, hands-on attitude.
Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when required.
Flexibility to support café operations and catering events.
Basic German and/or English communication skills.
