This is an incredibly hard decision, but Wrangler is looking for his next person. We are just not clicking unfortunately. He is one of the sweetest, most personable horses I’ve owned, but needs a confident, experienced rider who can bring out his potential.
His previous owner was a high school-aged girl who rodeoed on him, and I was also told he was a finished heel horse prior to that. I do not have roping videos to verify this.
Wrangler is fancy broke with some nice buttons. He moves easily off leg pressure, is soft to a light hand, has a HARD stop, and is more “whoa” than “go.” I think he could make a really nice ranch prospect, pole horse, or barrel horse. He seems to really enjoy poles and has felt great every time I’ve taken him through them.
He does seem to get a little sour to the barrel pattern and has offered to buck a couple of times, only while on the pattern. I think he may have some hock soreness, which is scheduled to be evaluated by my vet this week. He will sell with paperwork from the evaluation. Happy to explain his situation further to serious buyers.
On the ground, Wrangler is an absolute sweetheart. 🩵 He meets me at the gate every time and will follow you around all day. He stands tied, is awesome for the farrier, loads/unloads well, has clean legs, is barefoot, and is an extremely easy keeper.
He does have a cloudy/glazed appearance over one eye that was vet checked for the previous owner and was said not to affect him. I have never noticed it affecting him.
I love this horse, but I want something I can hop on, enter, and have fun with right now. A great, knowledgeable home is an absolute MUST. References will be requested and he will come with a buy-back option.
PPEs/vet checks welcome at buyer’s expense. More photos/videos available for serious inquiries. Message me for price, more details, or make me an offer. Worst I can say is no! 🩵
